Nascar Kitties

If you love Nascar you are not alone. Not only do lots of other people join you in this love, Cat People love the races too. Here are two litters who love to go to the races and since they can't get to the real thing, they race cars in my living room. Sometimes the kitty folk give a helping hand to their favorite car.. pushing them along on the track with their paws..
Now and again a cat has to take a purr and rub break.. time for attention.

You Gotta Love That Little Face

Kittens are so purrfect.. I love the little innocent faces filled with wonder and curiousity. I think it's important for us to interact with pets as they have so much to teach us. Dogs teach children never ending loyalty and faithfulness. They give an unconditional love that is pure and runs so deeply it never ends now matter how we look, what we have or even if we get angry and act ugly. Dogs just LOVE US>>> nothing asked in return.
Cats teach us to be independant.. actually interdependant. They love their time by themselves and show us how important it is to take care of ourselves. There is a balance between these two where pure joy lives. Dogs tend to love so much that they forget who they are and cats sometimes only care for themselves and what humans can do for them. We as humans can learn these lessons and know balance.
I have known the great joy of offering love and kindness to a wild cat and have it respond with a purr, allowing me to pet it and it eventually becoming my friend. Ah, what a mirror to the heart of man. .. we all need and crave love, acceptance and kindness.
We have had many interactions between different animals. Their feeling safe offers them a path to explore their curiousity without fear. What a lesson.. perfect love casteth out fear... and makes a path straight to love and joy.

Everybody loves puppies. These babies were the first litter of a little dog given to us by my daughter's friend. They didn't want the little doggie and we didn't want her to go to the pound. Her name was Precious and she really was a wonderful friend. When her second litter was 2 1/2 weeks old she was run over and I bottle fed her pups. We found home for four of them and kept two of the six. They are now dear to us and wonderful little friends.

Team Player Dog Pal

Cat People tend to love all animals and here is proof that dogs and cats can live together. This is Blessful, a dog we adopted from a rescue center. He is indeed a "team Player". Blessful knows that one of his jobs is to protect my daughter and grandson when they walk down the tree line by the field. He takes his job seriously and always walks ahead of them looking for trouble. We adopted him when he was a 6 weeks old ball of fur. Now he's as tall as I am when he stands on his hind legs. He loves his cats. He is so gentle with the kittens that it amazes me.

Kitty Folk Cats, Puppies and Humans

Here I will post pictures of my encounters with Cat People, Kitty Folk and Humans. I am presently living with over 20 wonderful Cats. They live outside for the most part with only two full time indoor dwellers. I do bring the Mamas in to give birth. I am so blessed by these wonderful Beings and the messages they teach me. They are wonderful parents, enjoying playtime with the babies and showing so much patience with the antics of kittens jumping on their tails and heads.
I have always felt a closeness to the Cat People and more often than not enjoyed their company over that of most humans. Cats are just cats. They don't try to be something else to impress us and each other. They enjoy being cats.

This is Mr Sassy. He's huge.. from nose to tail he's longer than my doorway. He came to us a few years ago already declawed and neutered. He had a very hard life before moving in and taking over our home. He was very afraid and lived for several weeks under my bed. For the first time in my life I had food, water and litter box in my bathroom. He has since moved his dining and bathroom downstairs. He is one of the two who live inside all the time. While I have a great love for cats, I enjoy them more when they are outside. I don't enjoy litter box duty. LOL
Sassy began a new tradition amoung the cats at my home. I had never had one attempt to cover their food when they were finished eating untill Sassy came here. Now most of the cats, young and old go through the routine of "covering" the food dish when they finish eating. Little 4 week old kittens do it, the old cats outside do it. I am amazed at this. See pics of kittens covering the dish.
